You’ll cruise through the bush in a customised safari vehicle, with each guest enjoying a prime window seat for unbeatable game viewing. From Mababe to Moremi, and finally to a chic camp on a private island in the breathtaking Okavango Delta, every stop is an adventure.

You will camp in wild areas, parks and game reserves that are completely wild and unfenced with no facilities or equipment. Your professional safari team will set up a full camp including a mobile kitchen and dining area.

Fully serviced: This safari is a non-participation tour where your safari team will carry out all the necessary chores to keep the safari running smoothly. Head out on safari each day with your guide safe in the knowledge that when you return to camp everything will be set up ready for you. There will be guide with you at all times as well as a team (chef and camp assistants etc) in a back-up vehicle to set up / take down your camp and also prepare delicious meals.

Equipment:

Wide frame mini meru walk in tents.
One camp bed with mattress and all necessary bedding included.
Each tent has an ensuite ablution section with direct access from the tent, which includes a bucket shower and bush toilet, along with a small stand with mirror, bowl and jug for water.

Vehicle: Custom-built 4x4 safari vehicles and trailer. The safari will be supported by a back-up vehicle dedicated to set up / packing of your camp

Your guide will meet you at 2.30pm at Maun Airport to begin your Wild Botswana safari. From Maun you drive for approx. 3 hours through to Mababe Private Concession for a 3-night stay. Perfectly positioned between the southern section of the Chobe National Park, and the Khwai and Moremi wildlife areas, the environment offers a mix of habitats and incredible wildlife including large herds of elephants, buffalo, general game and the predators which follow.

Early morning and afternoon safari drives through the area will give you the best opportunity to experience this incredibly special part of the world. You will also have the opportunity to venture out on a night drive, focussing on the wildlife that uses darkness to its best advantage.

The Mababe Private Concession belongs to the local community, and as caretakers for this pristine wilderness, there are controls in place which restricts the numbers of visitors to the area, ensuring a truly special experience.

Your adventure will continue as you journey through Moremi Game Reserve, stopping for a picnic lunch along the way. A leisurely safari drive will lead you to your private campsite, where you will settle in for the next three nights. In Moremi Game Reserve, land and water converge to create a stunning landscape of waterways, lagoons, pans, floodplains, riverine forests, and woodlands. This remarkable diversity of habitats offers spectacular opportunities for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. Daily safari drives will reveal nature’s best-kept secrets.

On the second day of your Moremi adventure, you will have the chance to explore the enchanting deep water channels of Moremi during a three-hour boat activity (subject to water levels and environmental conditions).

Today, you will journey to the edge of the Okavango Delta by the Gomoti River, where you’ll meet local community polers with their mekoro (dugout canoes). As you glide silently along the river channels and floodplains, you’ll take in the stunning landscapes of this remarkable region, allowing you to venture deep into the Eastern Delta. Over the next two days, you’ll explore this breathtaking area through mokoro excursions and guided nature walks on the islands and floodplains of the Okavango.

On your final day, you will depart from your Delta camp and head back to Maun. A safari drive on your way out offers another opportunity to spot elusive wildlife that you may have missed. You will arrive in Maun around 12:00 PM, where your guide will drop you off at Maun Airport or your booked lodge.
