Ultimate Tanzania: Crater, Migration & Escape - 11 Days
(Fly-In Safari)

"What a unique trip - this was the best way to experience the Great Migration - in a quiet section of the northern Serengeti - together with the Jurassic Ngorongoro Crater and the hidden gem of Ruaha National Park"
This Tanzania safari itinerary journeys from the iconic Ngorongoro Crater to the remote Northern Serengeti and on to the wild landscapes of Ruaha National Park, a route designed for travellers seeking Tanzania's most dramatic wildlife scenery beyond the standard safari circuit.
Begin with a scenic drive from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy a full-day safari across the crater floor, one of Africa's richest wildlife arenas and home to dense concentrations of lion, elephant, and rhino, with the chance to spot all of the Big Five in a single day.
From the crater, a charter flight will take you to the Lamai Wedge, a remote and exclusive corner of the Northern Serengeti. Spend four nights immersed in this uncrowded migration territory, with the opportunity to witness the Great Migration's Mara River crossings, at their most spectacular between July and October as the herds move north in search of fresh grazing.
From the Serengeti, fly south to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania's largest national park and one of its wildest and least-visited. Stay at the exclusive Kokoko Camp, set among rugged, baobab-studded landscapes with exceptional wildlife viewing, including large elephant herds and one of East Africa's most significant wild dog populations.
Combining the Ngorongoro Crater, the Northern Serengeti migration, and the untouched wilderness of Ruaha, this Tanzania safari itinerary offers an exclusive and authentic safari experience for travellers seeking Tanzania beyond the crowds.
